Submissions / Intellectual Contribution

Your feedback, ideas and comments are important to us. If you decide to submit any creative content of any nature, please take into consideration that through your submission you give Profurn full and exclusive property right of using the information in whatever way we see appropriate. If you do not feel comfortable with Profurn using your submission as our own, please refrain from sharing it with us.

Price and Method of Payment

We take great measures in assuring the accurate display of product prices on our website and within the showroom. Prices will be confirmed within the order confirmation sent to the client. All our prices, availability and delivery rates are subject to change without notification. All our product prices displayed on the website and within the showroom include VAT and are displayed in South African Rand’s. Until the purchase price has been paid in full, the goods remain the sole property of Profurn and no delivery or collection will be allowed otherwise. Product paid for via EFT or direct deposit will be released for delivery or collection only once we receive a bank notification from our account. We highly recommend that you keep all proof of payments and purchases. Should the client arrange for credit terms through any source acceptable to Profurn, written confirmation from the finance company concerned must be given before the release of any products.

Hiring and Products taken on Appro

Most Profurn products are available for hire at 25% of the sales price as displayed on the website and within the showroom. The full hiring cost needs to be settled before items are to be released. Profurn products are also available for styled shoots and productions and may be taken out on appro if we receive worthwhile exposure in turn. We do require the responsible party to sign a hiring/ appro agreement on collection or delivery, including information such as a copy of the clients ID and credit card details. If delivery is required it will be quoted for separately. On return both hired and items taken on appro, products found to be faulty will be charged to the client’s credit card in full.

Storing of Purchased Items

Profurn do not offer storage facilities for clients who purchased products from us. A period of 5 working days will be allowed from time of purchase confirmation for the client to arrange for delivery or collection unless arranged otherwise due to circumstances beyond the clients control. If this period is exceeded a daily fee of R150 will be charged extra. All outstanding fees must be settled prior to collection or delivery.

Product Assembly

In-house assembly can be arranged at an extra cost.

Product Ordering Process

Our clients may place product orders either through our online order system available on our website or by phoning or emailing us directly. The client will receive an order confirmation letter, confirming all prices, availability, possible lead times and extra cost such as delivery. The client will be required to return a signed copy of the order confirmation letter. Acceptance of this contract will be binding. A cancellation fee of 10% will be levied upon cancellation. We try our best to keep stock of all our items however all our products are handcrafted therefore lead times may vary on different products.

Product colours

Product colours displayed on the website might differ from that in real life due to the calibration of the monitor you are using to view our website. We however strive to display our product images as colour-accurate and detailed as possible.

Product Information

Product specific information is available and can be viewed within the product catalogue of the website. Not all products displayed on our website catalogue are available for viewing at our showroom. The woods and materials we use during the manufacturing of our products may differ every time due to the natural characteristics of wood. Profurn’s once off products made from reclaimed woods and materials will always vary and should not be seen as a defect in the product design or manufacturing thereof. All product information on the website is as accurate and complete as possible. Any further information is available on request.


Profurn uses high quality woods which will differ in colour and grain due to the natural characteristics of wood and therefore we cannot accept any returns for this reason. Any specific requirements including the above mentioned needs to be specified in writing prior to manufacturing.

Exchanges, Returns and Refunds

Profurn allows unsatisfied customers to exchange, return or refund purchased products within 10 working days. With exchanges please note that items are subject to availability and may have a lead time before exchange can take place. With returns and refunds the customer will receive a credit note only after presenting the original proof of purchase. Please allow adequate transaction time for refunds. Profurn is not obligated to exchange or refund non-faulty products and a 10% handling fee will be charged for such items. It is the responsibility and cost of the client to arrange delivery/collection of any exchanged or returned items. All exchanged and returned items will be checked on arrival. Any alterations to the product will not be accepted and no exchange, return or refund will be allowed. Profurn will also not be able to exchange or refund products on which possible non-perfections were pointed out before purchase. No exchanges or refunds will be approved without proof of purchase.
